William Mason

Canton - William Douglas Mason, age 58, died Saturday, November 27, 2004. He was a native and lifelong resident of Haywood County and was the son of U. L. and Dorothy Lankford Mason. He was a graduate of Canton High School. He served in the United States Navy. In addition to his parents, he is survived by three daughters; Kelly Wisham of Cordell, GA, Kristie Mason of Savannah, GA and Misty Mason, three sons, Tim and Josh Mason of Atlanta, GA and Chad Mason of Clyde, one sister, Linda Trull and her husband Ralph of Canton, one brother, Dennis Mason of Canton and 11 grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 1, 2004 at Canton Freewill Baptist Church. Reverend Brian Bird and Reverend Milton Hollifield will officiate. Burial will follow in the veteran section at Greenhill Cemetery in Waynesville. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at the church prior to the service. At other times, the family will be at the home of his parents, 559 Oakmont Drive, Canton, NC 28716.
