Canton – William “Bill” Michael Redding, 68, of the Beaverdam Community, passed away on Thursday, July 8, 2021 at Mission Memorial Campus.
Bill was a native of Jackson, County, Missouri and a son of the late Frank and Jody Samborski Redding. He retired as an Electronics Technician with the United States Postal Service for over 30 years and not only loved working on vehicle restorations and building projects, but also had a God given ability to fix anything mechanical. Bill also loved the great outdoors, fishing in any body of water where the fish might be hiding, and hunting. Bill’s family takes great comfort in his unwavering faith in Jesus and hope of the resurrection. He was a deeply kind person who met others with patience and compassion and a beloved husband and father who will be sorely missed.
He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Martha Ann Skeen Redding; one daughter, Megan Nicole Redding of Canton; two brothers, Frank Aaron Redding and David Redding and wife, Judy; two sisters, Betty Redding Fulks and Linda Redding Reynolds and husband, Corey; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 until 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 17, 2021 at Wells Funeral Home in Canton.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to International Fellowship of Christians & Jews, 30 N La Salle St. #4300, Chicago, Ill. 60602.
