William Rhea

William Joseph Rhea, age 71, died Monday, October 16, 2006, at Beverly Manor Nursing Home in Augusta, GA. He was a native of Canton and the son of the late Dewey and Polly Duckett Rhea. He was preceded in death by his wife, Edna Morris Rhea who died in 1996; four brothers, Jim, Tom, Bob and J. B. Rhea; and a sister, Mary Rhea. He was a United States Army veteran. He is survived by a sister, Margaret Surrett and her husband, Sherman of Canton; and two brothers, Gene Rhea of Conroe, TX and John Rhea of Burgaw, NC. Graveside services will be held on Friday, October 27, 2006, at 11:00 a.m. at North Canton Community Cemetery with the Reverend Dr. Roy Kilby officiating. Memorials may be made to North Canton Community Cemetery, c/o Fannie Paxton, 110 Bryson Road, Canton, NC 28716.
