William Robb

May 26, 1965 — March 6, 2012

Canton, William Swan Robb, age 46, passed away on Tuesday, March 6, 2012 at his residence. A native of Westchester, New York, he was the son of Alexander McRae and Joan Sills Robb. He was in the Marine Corp Reserves. Bill was first and foremost, a fisherman. He enjoyed fishing the many streams and ponds of the mountains, riding his Fat Boy motorcycle, and hunting for arrowheads with his children. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife of six years, Lisa Robb; a daughter, Heather Robb of Canton; three sons, Adam Robb of Waynesville, Justin Robb and Declan Lynch both of Cruso; three stepdaughters, Nisa Martin, Breanna Dupree and Amanda Foster; one stepson, Caleb Foster; a brother, Alex Robb and his wife, Laura, of Cruso; three nephews, McRae and Turner Robb and Rylan Irvin; and three grandchildren, Lily Faith, Piper Claire and Brooklyn Keeley Robb. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 10, 2012 at First Presbyterian Church of Waynesville with Reverend John Lindsay officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service in the church fellowship hall. In lieu of flowers, donations many be made to Mountain Projects "Share the Warmth", 2251 Old Balsam Road Waynesville, NC 28786 or Broyhill Baptist Children's Home, 111 Sneed Drive, Clyde, NC 28721.
