Waynesville, William Joseph "Bill" Woodlief, age 75, of Rocky Top Road, passed away on Saturday, December 25, 2010. A native of Franklin County, he was born and raised in Louisburg, North Carolina, resided in Denton, North Carolina for 30 years before moving to Haywood County in 2007. He was the son of the late William and Ina Cash Woodlief and was also preceded in death by a daughter, Ava Woodlief Ocker, a sister, Lois Stratton, and one brother, Bobby Woodlief. He was employed at Glover Manufacturing and was of the Baptist faith. He is survived by two sons, Lester Woodlief and his wife, Mary Ann, and Joseph Woodlief; three daughters, Jackie Pullman and her husband, Russell, Donna Woodlief, and Betty Jo Coppley and her husband, Tony, all of Denton, North Carolina; one sister, Alice Charriott, of Connecticut; one brother, Louis Woodlief, of Florida; and seven grandchildren, Chris Woodlief, Stacy Woodlief Pulliam, Lindsey Ocker, Allan and Samuel Rambo, and Laura and Cassy Burns; and one great grandchild, Caleb Pulliam. No services are planned.
