William "Billy" Petty, Jr.

Canton,  William Robert Petty, Jr., age 76, passed away on Saturday, February 27, 2021 at Haywood Regional Medical Center.

Billy was preceded in death by his wife, Roslyn Petty, who died in 2013 and a brother, David Petty.  He resided in Florida most of his life until moving to Haywood County in 2007.  Billy enjoyed the outdoors, woodworking, playing the drums and drawing with his grandchildren.

Billy is survived by a daughter, Jennifer Popple; three sisters, Barbara, Jeanne and Judy; four grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.

No services are planned.

The care of Mr. Petty has been entrusted to Wells Funeral Home of Waynesville.
