Willie Bonham

Waynesville-Willie Virgil Bonham, age 79, passed away on Friday, August 2, 2013 at MedWest-Haywood. A native of Haywood County, he was the son of the late William Marion and Ethel King Bonham. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Eva Carolyn Stamey, who passed away in 2004; and three sisters. Virgil retired from Blaylock Lumber Company as a Security Guard. He is survived by a daughter, Myra Scott of Canton; a son, Virgil Wayne Bonham of Boone; three granddaughters; three great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 10, 2013 in the Canton Chapel of Wells Funeral Home. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home.
