Waynesville-Willie Jean Silvers Frizzell, age 59, of Delanne Drive, died Wednesday, July 16, 2003 at her residence.
A native of Macon, Georgia, she had lived most of her life in Haywood County. She was the daughter of the late Claude and Alice Lemming Silvers. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Silas Frizzell, who died in 2000; two brothers, Roy and Joe Silvers; and a half brother, Floyd P. Anther. She was employed for 30 years at Clyde's Restaurant in Waynesville.
She is survived by a foster mother, Dorothy C. Allison, of Waynesville; a daughter, Jan Frizzell, of Lake Junaluska; two sons, J.D. Frizzell and his wife, Jennifer of Crabtree Community, and Ken Frizzell of the home; three sisters, Betty Bush and Joyce Locust, both of Waynesville and Cathy Ledford of Franklin; a half sister, Rosie Trantham, of Tennessee; two brothers, Eugene Silvers of Clyde and Dave Silvers of Tennessee.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 19, 2003 in the Waynesville chapel of Wells Funeral Home with the Reverend Bobby Hagan and Reverend G.W. Jameson officiating. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Friday, July 18, 2003. Nephews and nieces will serve as pallbearers.
