Willie Gregg

Willie Mae Gregg Canton - Willie Mae "Billie" Gregg, age 77, of 19 Skyline Drive, died July 9, 2005, at Haywood Regional Medical Center. She was a native of Buncombe County and lived most of her life in Haywood County. She was the daughter of the late Frank and Ethel Burris Rhodes. She is preceded in death by her husband Mack T. Gregg who died in 1988 and one daughter Barbara Ann Barnett. Billie was a homemaker and was of the Baptist faith. She was a very loving mother and grandmother. She is survived by two sons Daniel Gregg and his wife Vicki and Douglas Gregg, all of Canton. One brother, Lawrence Rhodes of Port Orford, Oregon; and two grandchildren Danna Gregg and Nicholas Gregg. A graveside service will be held at 2:00pm Tuesday, July 12th at New Cruso Cemetery with the Reverend Matthew Pruett officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:30-2:00pm Tuesday prior to the service at Wells Funeral Homes and Cremation Services of Canton. Memorials may be made to The American Cancer Society, 90 Stiles Road Canton, NC 28716. At other times, the family will be at the residence of her son, Daniel Gregg 15 Bailey Street Canton.
