Willie Mae Price Queen, age 77, of Winfield Street died Monday, June 30, 2008, at her residence. A native of Cherokee County, she was the daughter of the late Barnette and Luella Kephart Price. She was also preceded in death by a brother, J. M. Price; a grandson; Tony Price; a step grandson, Joey Queen; and a nephew, Jimmy Messer. She was a member of Fines Creek Memorial Baptist Church. She enjoyed quilting and canning home grown vegetables and going to yard sales. She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Carroll Queen, Sr.; a daughter, Diane Price Hall of Clyde; step-children, FiFi Abdian, Carroll Queen, Jr., Tommy Queen, Menita Goodyear, and Wendell Queen; a sister, Lilllian Price Maynor of Balsam; a granddaughter, Tammy Mae Rogers of Canton; five step grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Florence Caldwell. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 3, 2008, at Long's Community Cemetery with the Reverend Bruce Cayton officiating. The family will receive friends from 9:30 until 10:30 a.m. Thursday prior to the service. Pallbeares will be Robert Kite, Richard Moore, Eddie Maynor, Tim Bradley, T. J. Bradley, and Tanner Bradley.
