Waynesville – Wilma Lee West Setzer, age 77, of 63 Westwood Circle, passed away on Wednesday, September 7, 2016. A native of Haywood County, she was the daughter of the late William West and Bertha Postell of Robbinsville. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Rick Ownby. Wilma worked at Dollar General in Waynesville for 17 years and prior to that time, she worked at Roses. She was a very caring and loving lady, who placed her family as a number one priority. She made friends easily with her outgoing personality. A talented dancer, Wilma was a member of the Southern Appalachian Cloggers for a number of years. She is survived by a daughter, Patty Ownby of Waynesville; special cousins, Geraldine Mauck and husband, Bill, Grace and Troy Bryson and Sonja and Bobby Smiley; and a host of special friends including David and Rebecca Ownby McCarty of Kodak Tennessee; and a close family friend, Brenda Silvers and her family. Graveside services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, September 11, 2016 at Green Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until 2:15 p.m. prior to the service at Wells Funeral Home of Waynesville.
