Wilma M. Taylor

Canton-Wilma Mae Robinson Taylor, age 85, of 158 Pigeon Ford Road, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, April 5, 2003 at her residence.

A lifelong resident of Haywood County, she was daughter of the late Harley A. and Jossie Hall Robinson and wife of the late James Howard Taylor, Sr. who died March 24, 1987. She was also prededed in death by five brothers, Jack, Joe, George, Richard and Doyal Robinson and a sister, Miley Sluder.
She was of the Baptist faith. Mamaw was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
She is survived by two daughters, Cleta Taylor McCall and her husband Garry of Candler and Nancy Taylor Francis of Waynesville; two sons, James Howard Taylor, Jr. and his wife, Kathy and Gary Taylor and his wife, Terri all of Canton; two sisters, Ruth Detwiler of Clyde and Oneva Rogers of Alexander; a brother, Edwin Robinson of Oak Ridge, TN; seven grandchildren, Anita Darby and her husband, Jim, Tammy Buckner and her husband, Jackie all of Candler, Jim Harly Francis III and his wife, Heather of Waynesville, Curtis Taylor and his wife Tessa of Spruce Pine and Brandon, Barclay and Cullan Taylor, all of Canton; four great grandchildren, Dylan and Britni Buckner, Anna Katherine Darby and Coleman Taylor. She is also survived by two special caregivers, Carolyn Sease and Janie Beck.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 8th at Pisgah View Memorial Park in Candler with Reverends Dennis Ruff and Riley Covin officiating. Serving as pallbearers will be-Ronnie Robinson, Jim Darby, Jackie Buckner, Jim Harley Francis III and Curtis , Brandon, Barclay and Cullan Taylor.
The family will receive friends on Monday, April 7th from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Wells Funeral Home in Canton and at other times the family will be at Wilma's residence.
