Winifred Price

Winifred Calvin Price, age 84, died Saturday, July 7, 2007, at the St. Joseph's campus of Mission Hospital. She was the daughter of the late Earl and Lucella Lomme Calvin. She was preceded in death by her husband, George William Price, who died July 9, 2006, a sister; Thelma Bonner, and a brother; James Calvin. Winfred was a member of Central United Methodist Church. She is survived by two daughters, Lynn Holbrook and Bobbie Radford, both of Candler; a son, Keith William Price of Candler; a sister, Marian Sprinkle of Waynesville; three brothers, Earl Calvin, Jr. of Leicester, Roger Calvin of Candler and John Calvin of Seneca, SC; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 10, 2007, at the chapel of Wells Funeral Home in Canton with the Reverend David Christy and the Reverend Roy Houston officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 9:30 until 11:00 a.m. prior to the service. At other times the family will be at the home of Lynn Holbrook at 167 Holbrook Road in Candler. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Canton Central United Methodist Church, PO Box 792, Canton, NC 28716.
