Clyde, Winnie Lou Williams Fowler, age 59, of 117 Suttles Street, passed away peacefully at her residence. A native of Clayton, Alabama and former resident of Orlando, FL, she had lived in Haywood County for over 30 years. She was the daughter of the late Marvin L. and Sallie Lou Dease Williams. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Judy Lynn Fowler and one brother, Roy Williams. She was a certified nursing assistant employed at the Brian Center in Waynesville. Winnie enjoyed crafts, especially painting, working in her garden, and crocheting; and she loved drinking Pepsi-Cola. She is survived by two daughters, Jean Walker and her husband, Roger, of Geneva, AL and Linda Combs and her husband, Larry, of Lenoir, NC; four sisters, Audrey Zuhlke, Annette Chambers, Sue Green, and Ethel Tidwell, all of Geneva, AL; one brother, Gory Williams, of Rochester, NY; 13 grandchildren, Cynthia Lou and Tiffany Cardwell, Dale and Jacob Walker, Rex and Jason Abbott, Patricia Cloutier, Tina Fenasci, Adam and Cory Combs, Kristen Fowler, and Jessica and Karrie Hand; and five great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 22, 2008 in the Waynesville Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with Reverend Alan Mears officiating. Burial will follow at Dawn Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services at the funeral home and at other times, at the residence.
