Yvonne Comer

Waynesville, Yvonne Severa Comer, age 91, passed away on Sunday, October 6, 2013 at Smoky Mountain Health & Rehabilitation Center. A native of Orange County, NC, she was the daughter of the late Marvin and Rosa Lee Bishop. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers and seven sisters. Yvonne was of the Baptist Faith and enjoyed crocheting and growing flowers. She is survived by three daughters, Severa Fleming, of Waynesville, Rosa McVey and her husband, David, of Graham, NC and Barbara Collier and her husband, Reverend Robert Collier, of Creedmore, NC; 5 grandchildren and 5 step grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren and 5 step great-grandchildren; and 13 great-great-grandchildren and 2 step great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 10, 2013 in the Burlington Chapel of Rich & Thompson Funeral Home with Reverend Robert Collier officiating. Burial will follow at Pine Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until 12:30 prior to the services.
