Zelda Adams

Zelda Mae Earley Adams, age 74 of Circle Drive died on Saturday, October 22, 2011, at John F. Keever, Jr. Solace Center. A native and lifelong resident of Haywood County, she was the daughter of the late Reverend Frank Earley and Lura Wells Earley. She was also preceded in death by three sisters, Frankie Gooch and Martha and Joanne Earley. Zelda was extraordinarily devoted to her family. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Reuben Adams, a son, Tim Adams and his wife, Leanne, of Asheville; a daughter, Karen Moore and her husband, Stephen, of Waynesville; four brothers, David Earley and his wife, Connie, of Landrum, SC, Roger Earley and his wife, Barbara, of Canton, Roy Earley and his wife, Hazel, of Simpsonville, dSC, and Danny Earley and wife, Judy, of Canton; three grandchildren, Carrie Keefe and her husband, Richard, of Asheville and Kaitlin and Madison Moore of Waynesville; a brother-in-law, Tommy Gooch; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 25, 2011, at Beulah Baptist Church with the Reverend Barry Clark and Reverend Sam Adams officiating and a eulogy given by Roger Earley. The family will receive friends from 12:00 noon until 2:00 p.m. prior to the service at the church. Burial will follow at Bon-A-Venture, Old Clyde Road.
