Donnie Davis

Canton – Donnie Frank Davis, 80, passed away on Wednesday, January 5, 2022 at his residence.

Donnie was a native and lifelong resident of Haywood County and a son of the late James Harrison and Novella Reed Davis.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death a son, Bobby Sherrill Davis, who died in 2019.  Donnie retired in 2007 from Square D with 30 years of service.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Doris Pressley Davis; one daughter, Melinda Schnell of Hendersonville; four granddaughters, Recia, Rachelle, Leah, and Arlinda; and three great-grandchildren, Hayley, Charlotte, and Jason; and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 5, 2022 at Calvary Baptist Church, 93 Phillips Street, Canton, NC with Reverend Vickie Wilson and Reverend Steven Pressley officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church beginning at 1:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN  38105.
